Cradle to Cradle

In hindsight this book inspired the existence of Food2Future. Reading this book gave me a lot of positive energy and the feeling of wanting to be part of this important revolution in the way we produce and consume.

The key message of the book: We have to let go of the thought that we should do less with more to control the damage. The linear production model with more waste as the only outcome is not working any more. The authors of the book, William McDonough and Michael Broungart, plead for a circular economy in which products are designed in such a way that their building materials can be fed back into the technical or biological cycle. Waste does not exist! This is a very positive and strong message. Because the book is filled with good practice examples the reader is convinced that what the authors plead is not utopia but a realistic solution that is within our reach!
